Allergy Test
Types of Allergy Tests
Skin Prick Test (SPT)
- Most common type.
- Small amounts of allergens (like dust, pollen, pet dander, food) are pricked into the skin.
- If allergic, redness or swelling appears.
Blood Test (IgE Test)
- Measures allergy-related antibodies (IgE) in the blood.
- Useful for people who cannot undergo skin tests (e.g., severe allergies, skin conditions).
Patch Test
- Mostly for detecting contact allergies (like cosmetics, soap, metals).
- Allergens are applied on a patch and placed on the back for 48 hours, then checked for reactions.

- Dust, pollen, mold
